Week 3 NFC Recap

Three weeks in, two teams remain perfect, Jim Meeder is gaining momentum, and Pam is officially in the win column.

2-Min Drill delivers the high score

Jim Meeder’s 2-Min Drill led the NFC with 131.84 points, beating John Fowler’s FowlBall, 103.16. That’s two straight wins for Jim, who improved to 2-1 and climbed to third place. Apparently, two minutes is plenty of time to get the job done.

Serenity Now hands Kurt his first loss

The matchup of undefeated teams went decisively to Howard / David’s Serenity Now, which beat Super Bowl or Bust Kurt 124.96–84.22. The 40.74-point margin was the NFC’s largest of the week. Serenity Now improved to 3-0, while Kurt slipped to 2-1. The Super Bowl plans remain intact, but this week leaned toward “Bust.”

Buzzing Jackets keep buzzing

Eric Strevel’s Buzzing Jackets defeated Chris on 3 119.60–86.34, staying undefeated and holding first place. With 399.08 season points, Eric also leads the combined AFC/NFC standings. Chris fell to 1-2.

David takes the closest finish

David McCleskey’s Senior Football beat Michael Parker’s Barking Dawgs 101.44–91.06. The 10.38-point difference made this the NFC’s closest matchup. David improved to 2-1, while Michael moved to 1-2.

Pam gets her first win

Any Given Pam lived up to its name, beating Sunday Funday Glen 115.08–103.34. Pam improved to 1-2 and moved into eighth place. Glen put up a respectable score but remains in search of his first win at 0-3.

Carol pounds out another victory

Ground & Pound Carol defeated Dan Gillis’s Waddle we talking about here 116.88–94.00. Carol improved to 2-1 and jumped from eighth to fifth. Dan fell to 0-3; a little less waddling and a little more scoring might be on the Week 4 wish list.
