Week 6 NFC Recap
Week 6 kept the Jackets buzzing, gave the Dawgs another reason to bark, and brought Pam back into the win column. Three teams now share the NFC’s best record at 5-1, with Eric leading both the conference and Soleil overall. The race is tightening—and serenity remains in short supply.
Eric Keeps the Buzz Going
Buzzing Jackets (Eric Strevel) earned Week 6’s scoring honors with 129.56 points, defeating Super Bowl or Bust (Kurt), 91.70.
The 37.86-point victory was also the NFC’s largest margin of the week. Eric earned his second straight win, improved to 5-1, and took over first overall in Soleil with 777.00 season points.
Kurt fell to 2-4 with a fourth consecutive loss. “Super Bowl or Bust” still leaves two possibilities, but Kurt would appreciate seeing a little more of the first one.
Eric now leads Jim Meeder by 56.00 season points. The Jackets aren’t just buzzing—they’re making enough noise for the AFC to hear.
Closest Finish: The Dawgs Interrupt Sunday Funday
Barking Dawgs (Michael Parker) defeated Sunday Funday (Glen), 104.50–93.14, in Week 6’s closest NFC matchup.
The 11.36-point margin gave Michael his second straight victory and brought him to 3-3, seventh in the conference.
Glen’s two-game winning streak ended, dropping him to 2-4 and ninth place.
Last week the Dawgs disturbed Serenity Now. This week they interrupted Sunday Funday. Michael’s team is developing quite a reputation for ruining otherwise pleasant plans.
Jim Keeps Drilling; Carol Keeps Pounding
2-Min Drill (Jim Meeder) scored 91.16 points and earned his fifth consecutive victory, improving to 5-1.
Jim remains second in the NFC and second overall, with 721.00 season points. After losing the opener, he hasn’t lost since. Apparently, the two-minute drill has turned into a five-week drive.
Ground & Pound (Carol Stack) added 84.16 points and collected her fourth straight win, also reaching 5-1.
Carol holds third in the NFC and fourth overall, with 651.70 season points. After last week’s grinder, another modest score was enough to keep the streak moving. Ground & Pound continues to get excellent mileage out of every point.
FowlBall Climbs; Serenity Slips Again
FowlBall (John Fowler) scored 113.40 points, earning his third straight win and improving to 4-2.
John climbed from sixth to fourth place, with 657.36 season points. After last week’s biggest victory, FowlBall kept the offense moving. Three straight wins will do wonders for the view from the standings.
Serenity Now (Howard / David) scored 70.60 points and suffered a second consecutive loss, falling to 4-2 and fifth place.
Two weeks ago, Howard and David were undefeated. Now they’re looking to stop a losing streak. The record is still strong, but the team name may need to be delivered with a few deep breaths.
Pam Bounces Back; David and Chris Look for Answers
Any Given Pam scored 115.14 points, the NFC’s second-highest total of Week 6, and returned to the win column.
Pam improved to 2-4 and climbed to eighth place, with 645.30 season points. Last week, 132.54 wasn’t enough to win. This week, a smaller score produced a much happier result. Fantasy football’s customer service department remains unavailable for questions.
Senior Football (David McCleskey) scored 82.48 points and took a second straight loss, falling to 3-3 and sixth place.
David remains ahead of Michael on season points, but the Dawgs have now caught him in the win column. A little offensive rejuvenation would be welcome.
Chris on 3 scored 88.38 points, falling to 1-5 with a fifth straight defeat.
Chris remains eleventh. At this point, “Chris on 3” sounds like the beginning of a team huddle: one, two, three—please score more touchdowns.
Player Highlights: A Tale of Two Trevors
Trevor Lawrence led the NFC’s player highlights with 28.34 fantasy points, also topping the AFC’s weekly player list.
Trevor Etienne finished at -0.10, taking the NFC’s lowest-player highlight.
One Trevor helped the scoreboard climb. The other briefly put it in reverse. That’s a wide range of outcomes for one first name.
Dan Still Looking for the Breakthrough
Waddle we talking about here (Dan Gillis) scored 58.22 points, the NFC’s lowest total of Week 6.
Dan remains 0-6 and twelfth in the conference, with 493.62 season points. He is still Soleil’s only manager looking for a first victory.
Brian has now won two straight in the AFC, and Sheila and Mitch have already broken through. The first-win celebration is ready, Dan—we’re just waiting for you to waddle into it.
Standings Watch: Three Set the Pace
Buzzing Jackets, 2-Min Drill, and Ground & Pound lead at 5-1, ranked in that order by season points.
FowlBall and Serenity Now follow at 4-2, with John moving ahead of Howard and David.
Senior Football and Barking Dawgs sit at 3-3, followed by Any Given Pam, Sunday Funday, and Super Bowl or Bust at 2-4.
Chris on 3 is 1-5, while Waddle we talking about here remains 0-6.
Jim has won five straight, Carol four straight, and John three straight. Eric may lead the standings, but there are some persistent footsteps behind him.
Looking Ahead
Eric takes the scoring crown, biggest victory, and first overall. Michael claims the closest NFC win, Jim and Carol keep their streaks alive, and John climbs into fourth. Pam gets a welcome victory, while several teams could use a fresh start.
Week 7 offers another chance to shake up the race. Check those lineups, watch the bye weeks, and keep the friendly trash talk coming. If the Dawgs are on your schedule, you may want to warn the neighbors.
